• タイトル：Light Scattering & Confinement at the Nanoscale: Enabling Functional Meta-Devices On Chip

講演概要：

Controlling light scattering and confinement at the nanoscale enables a new class of functional on-chip meta-devices. By engineering optical resonances in metallic and dielectric nanostructures, we can tailor key properties of light, i.e., spectrum, polarization, phase, and momentum, for compact classical and quantum photonic applications. This talk introduces cavity-enhanced platforms that exploit LDOS modulation, high-Q/V resonances, and multipolar hybridization to realize tunable light emitters, deterministic linearly polarized single-photon sources, and chiral bi-layer metasurfaces supporting spin-selective emission. On the detection side, resonant field confinement is used to design wavelength-sensitive photodetector pixels, near-IR silicon detectors enabled by disordered metasurfaces as integrated with upconversion nanoparticles, and ultra-broadband Sb₂Te₃ thermoelectric detectors spanning visible to mid-IR. These results outline a scalable framework for integrated meta-sources and meta-detectors.
